Anchorage RV Park - Anchorage, Alaska

The Anchorage RV Park, on the northeastern edge of the city, is conveniently located about 10 minutes from downtown.
It is the newest and nicest campground in the Anchorage area. The park is wooded and secluded yet close to the Glenn Highway. During our stay for our feature in July 2001, there were numerous flowers blooming and the grounds were well maintained.

A desk with two modem hookups is available in the lounge along with a large television, fireplace, comfortable chairs and couches.
A tour and information desk is also available in the main building. The store has food, RV items, and souvenirs for sale.

The lounge and store are open from 6 am to 10 pm each day with the laundry and restrooms open 24 hours. Hot showers are included and the restrooms are spacious and clean. There is a large laundry room available.

The new Alaska Native Heritage Center is across the road and a bike path starts nearby and runs out the Glenn Highway to Eagle River. City bus service (Routes 3 and 4) is available.

A cabin can be rented from $75 a night.
There are 195 spacious full-hookup gravelled sites surrounded by native ground cover. There are 76 pull-thrus. 20/30/50 Amp service is available.

Some sites have television cable and instant phone hookups. A dump station is also available.
