The Montague and the Rubens in London
The
Montague on the Gardens and the Rubens at the Palace are only a few
hotels we have featured that raise the bar to new heights in
hospitality. Both are part of the Red Carnation collection of
hotels. Attention to detail is evident throughout the hotels, from the
friendly staff to uniquely appointed rooms and near the most popular
attractions. Read more from our visit to both hotels in our features
linked to the photos above.
More London features coming soon. We
apologize for the delays. There were over 1,500 photos taken during our
trip and lots of notes to organize. Some of the features we are working
on now include the Oxo Tower Restuarant, Simpsons on the Strand, the
Comedy Store, Leeds Castle, and others.

Shreveport KOA featured
From our recent visit to Shreveport, we stayed at the Shreveport/Bossier City KOA in one of their large chalets (a mobile home). It was decorated attractively, came with a kitchen with two skylights, three bedrooms, perfect for a family or group gathering.
It
was a short trip, but we did have a chance to feast on the international
buffet at Sam's Town casino. For the freshest servings, be sure to get
there early (before 11 if going for lunch).
Our next features will
highlight more of our London travels. It has taken us longer to compile
the features, as we went to so many places and also took lots of
photographs.
Best,
Carl

London Updates - Origin Restaurant and Jordans B&B
Just added is our feature on the Origin Restaurant, which the building it is in (The Hospital) was renovated by none other than by Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics fame and Paul Allen of Microsoft fame. The building also includes a gallery, cinema, a full blown tv studio and more.
We also posted our feature on Jordans B&B, a quaint farmhouse, with
sections built as far back as 1500, which is really ancient by our
American standards. The house is an open hall design. In those days,
people were shorter than they are today. The main entranceway and the
kitchen have a lower ceiling, being the original sections of the house.
Vertical timber bay posts give an authentic medieval appeal, which
provide support to the corners and walls.
More to come. - Carl

New London feature added - Melita House
Added new feature and photos to the new Destination UK Guide. This was
where we stayed at when we first arrived in London. The first two nights
we stayed up late walking the streets of London till 2 a.m. until the
jetlag wore off. For an historical perspective, listen to the link for
Trafalgar Square, an old WWII report by Edward R. Murrow. More features
to be coming soon. - Carl
