Christmas and the New Year
This is a special time of the year when thoughts turn to family and loved ones, and a spirit of giving. Keep our troops in your prayers during this time as they are away from home and continuing to serve. One way to help is through supporting the USO. Since 1941 this organization has helped our soldiers in service. In giving back to the community, you may want to consider becoming a volunteer or donating to this worthy cause. There are numerous other worthwhile causes, including the Salvation Army, which donates the largest portion of donated funds directly to those who need it most. As noted author and management expert Peter Drucker stated, the Salvation Army is "by far the most effective organization in the United States." The Toys for Tots program has a $5 million shortfall this year, and is also stressed for help as many Marines are in service overseas. It provides Christmas toys for poor children who can't afford them.
Thanks for your input on suggestions for additions to our site. In the coming year we will be adding new services to make it easy for you the traveler to find what you need quickly, and we will be featuring more of the locations you are interested in.
Happy Holidays to All,
Carl Burnham

Veteran's Day, a time to honor our bravest
In our hectic age, it's easy for us to forget sometimes the sacrifices
of those who fought to preserve and sustain our freedoms. This upcoming
Veteran's Day reminds us of the great service that our soldiers have
done and continue to do to preserve our great freedoms we enjoy.
Thank
a veteran today. Shake their hand and let them know how much you
appreciate and are proud of them. Take them to lunch.
Honor those
who have gone before us by paying tribute to their sacrifices. They are
our greatest heroes.
Read about my Dad who served in WWII, and is
85 years young - WWII
Remembrances
Coming soon are more features on London, plus more new features
from our current Texas travels.
Best,
Carl Burnham
